• My blog is Taylorlife.com. When a user clicks their own name or the link to view their profile, they are getting redirected to a page that says:
“Hey, you’re not allowed in here.”

I have searched for this on the forum, but couldn’t find someone else with the problem. They can register, but cannot edit their profiles at all.

Can someone please help me with this?

    Thank you,

    Alicia

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

yes – I’ve done all of that. Nothing is working.

    Site url?

I am having the same problem. I don’t know how long because we haven’t had any users who wanted to post something until now. sustainabledelco.org

Interesting… I have the same issue, any clue yet?

    same problem with WP 2.9.2

The same here with WP 2.9.2

Even when users are contributor this is the same.

Is there any way to display a debug message instead of “Hey, you’re not allowed in here.” ?

Pfff, can you list the plugins you use ?

    here are mine :

The responsible is the plugin Wordbooker by Steve Atty

    now it works

if you want to continue to use this very nice plug-in you need to use at least 1.7b9 or :

Its a bug in 1.6.1 which is fixed in 1.7

You can work round it by commenting out the following line:

    if (!current_user_can(WORDBOOKER_MINIMUM_ADMIN_LEVEL)) { wp_die(“Hey, you’re not allowed in here.”); }

which is line 1158 in wordbooker.php
