users edit their own profile

Hi all,
I am trying to setup “view your profile” area for my users, just like the one in this forum, so they can see and edit their personal information.

I am basically thinking about 2 solutions:
1) integrate the dashboard in the blog
2) create a “view your profile” from scratch.

The thing is that I don’t know how to achieve the first and I can’t find a plugin for the second.

does anyone know how to integrate the dashboard into the blog (with look and feel therefore)?
