Users get serious error message when trying to log in

    For the second time since yesterday, I’m getting the following error message:

    Ein Fehler vom Typ E_ERROR wurde in der Zeile 351 der Datei /var/www/vhosts/h348085.server19.campusspeicher.de/chapter.digital/wp-content/plugins/wp-2fa/includes/classes/WP2FA.php verursacht. Fehlermeldung: Uncaught TypeError: Argument 4 passed to WP2FA\WP2FA::get_wp2fa_setting() must be of the type string, null given, called in /var/www/vhosts/h348085.server19.campusspeicher.de/chapter.digital/wp-content/plugins/wp-2fa/includes/classes/Admin/Controllers/class-settings.php on line 179 and defined in /var/www/vhosts/h348085.server19.campusspeicher.de/chapter.digital/wp-content/plugins/wp-2fa/includes/classes/WP2FA.php:351

    i had to deactivate the plugin to allow other users to log in.

    It is very difficult to say what is happening without knowing more context. But looking at the error itself it looks like somehow the user getting the error has no role at all.

    We have seen another case with the same issue and as we thought, it seems this error is triggered when the user trying to log in has no role assigned to it.

    Can you please confirm if this is also the case in your setup?
