Users have reported that they’re receiving the default admin style “New comment on your post…” emails when other users comment on their idea. This is bad because IP addresses are included in that email.

I’m not sure how I myself can prevent that through settings/file tweaking, any ideas?

Not sure if related, but it *could* be because these users have a role that is not just “subscriber” but is a differently-named but same-permissions role.

Unrelated: I think there’s also an issue where emojis/non-safe characters can be in permalinks of ideas, but idk if this is a WordPress issue or plugin.

    Hi @ftlralph,

IdeaPush does create a separate user role called IdeaPush Guest. Also in an update a few months ago we longer put the IP address in the username (note we have never put the IP address in the email though). If you want to turn off the comment emails you will need to consult general WordPress support as this is something generated by WordPress and not the plugin.

    Thanks,
