    Hello,

    I have the free captcha plugin and use the V2 checkbox version. When users want to make an account with me they have to select a picture from a roster of pictures rather than tick a checkbox. Why is this happening?

  • Hi,
    that is not because of this plugin but just because how Google’s verification works, if Google recognizes too many attempts from a certain IP, network or a region they don’t expect to visit the site,
    they switch from “just” a checkbox to a picture verification, that you’re not a robot ??

    Happens to me too both on WP and non-wp sites with Google’s recaptcha if I login more times in a row.

    Hello @samdenishin

    Thank you very much for using our plugin.

    As @samdenishin explained, as such our plugin is just a connector between your WordPress website and the CAPTCHA. It does not control or have any privileges on the CAPTCHA itself.

    However, there are different V2 CAPTCHA’s, and indeed, when Google is suspicious about certain traffic it can add additional steps to verify the traffic is coming from a legit source. You can read more about the different versions of CAPTCHA in the document Choosing the type of reCAPTCHA by Google.

    I hope this helps. Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to ask.

    Have a great day.

    @robert681 it’s @javeweb , but thank you for mentioning and agreeing ??
