    Hi,

I frequently see malicious users that try different hack attempts in known plugins. I manually set their IP to blocked but I want Wordfence to auto lock them out after 2-3 attempts which fail.

Following a previous thread, I have enabled How long is an IP address blocked when it breaks a rule?= 1 month

However, its clear to me that bots that break rules are not being blocked and can repeatedly try different attacks, one after the other.

Is there a way to auto block this traffic?

    Thanks,

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out!
It really depends on which rules you have set which will trigger them to automatically get blocked.

Are you using rate-limiting or brute force protection?

These features may help you crack down on this bot activity.

    Please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Josh
