A User emailed me to say that they are not able to login to my website. So i just tried 2 different aliases I have for testing and found the same problem. So I updated to the latest version of Theme My Login and still it doesn’t work. Users can fill in the form and them get taken t a capture asking to solve a simple math equation something like 5+ 1= . Then when filling in the answer it just cycles back to the login page without logging the user in. I have 400 users on my site so this is a nightmare! https://aminutetomidnite.com/

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Are you hosted on wordpress.com?

Yes I am hosted on WordPress.com. It used to be there was a math equation on the same page as the log in but when someone tries to log in the math question appears on anew page but when you answer it it just redirects back to the login page and doesn’t log you in. I am getting emails from people trying to log in and it’s the same for everyone. I don’t know what to do? Is it a problem with Your plugin or is it something i need to contact WP support for?

For the moment, I would advise all wordpress.com users to downgrade back to 6.4.16 or 6.4.17, as we’re actively working with wordpress.com trying to resolve this issue.

I don’t even know how to downgrade backwards

Download the old version here: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/theme-my-login.6.4.16.zip.

    First, delete the current version.

Then, install the ZIP file using Plugins -> Add New -> Upload plugin.

Will deleting it and installing the old one again muck up any settings?

You would likely just need to refresh your permalinks.

However, we have just found a fix to the issue and will be releasing and update before the end of the night.

OK well I might wait for the fix and the update rather than deleting an installing an old version. I hope you can fix it quickly then..meanwhile I will just deal with the emails from those who can’t log in I think.

    It’s been released now.

I just updated it to the latest version and now instead of being able to log into the website as a general user when you click on the login link, it now takes someone to a login to WordPress page instead of logging into the website. This mucking up of the website is costing me time I am having to deal with users emailing who can’t log in!

I really don’t know what to do here. The registration page is still as it was, but I have 400 people registered in a forum that now can’t log into. They are not all registered to WordPress, they were registered to our site. The longer this is broken the more chance that they won’t comeback ??

Ok WordPress help staff fixed the issue: This is what they said:

Apparently the plugin update triggered a module to get activated ??

I deactivated it and it is working now.

So now my users can log back in again ( which is a relief).

I was going to say, you need to disable the SSO module of Jetpack.
