    Hi there,

When you click on our user’s names on the front end, you no longer see the list of posts they have created. Instead you see a blank page.

How do we get it so that when you click a user’s name, you’re taken to a page that shows the posts they’ve created?

For example, this person has created two posts:

Also, the link above is not linking to the person’t username. It’s instead showing their email address.

Is that part of the problem? We don’t want to show their email address like that. They have to be kept private

    Thanks!

Also, we’d want to use the “Display name publicly as” field in the url instead of their address.

This screenshot shows both issues I’m having.

For one thing, the author’s posts don’t show up when you click on the author’s name. Second of all, the url for the author shows the author’s email address, which we definitely don’t want to display:

Also, FYI, I changed the URL manually using a plugin for now, so that user’s email addresses aren’t exposed.

    Thanks for the help.

Hi, by default the user name on Ad details pages is not clickable, you are most likely using some code snippet to show, can you paste the code that does this? I should be able to help then.

The code most likely is in your theme functions.php file or in the ads-by-author plugin.

Ok I see. Would Buddypress help the situation at all?

With the BuddyPress the seller contact name can link to the user BuddyPress profile, if this would work for you then yes, the BP integration could help.

That being said if you have a custom code somewhere which modifies the link seller name, it would be best to remove it after installing BP integration.

    Dear Moderator,

The URL at the top of this thread reveals a user’s email address. This is sensitive information that I am unable to delete. If you can either remove that link or remove this topic altogether, that would be awesome.

Thanks so much for your help!

    Fixed.
