Users receiving comment notification for other sites in the network

  • Greetings,
    I recently updated my site network to WP 3.9.1, and updated the ‘cbnet Multi Author Comment Notification’ plugin to v3.2.

    I have now been notified by users of separate sites who are receiving comments for other sites. All of these users are in their respective site’s Editors group. I have tried removing the permissions under the Discussions tab (notification by user group), and setting it at the user level, but to no avail.

    I don’t recall previous users receiving notification from other sites (only for their own), at least in the previous version of this plugin. But, this appears to be the case: users receive comment notification, regardless if they are a member of the site within the network. Is this a new issue, or it this the expected functionality (and I never noticed it)? Any assistance/direction is appreciated.

    I am using the following plugins:
    -Akismet
    -WP Super Cache

    Themes:
    -JustCSS (with child theme)
    -Coraline

    ouranos2: no solution as of yet; I am hopeful for an update that will fix the issue, but until then, I will test some more stuff out and then post a solution if I stumble across one.
