Users & Rights

  • Hi Guys,

    I am relatively new to WordPress, i have a few questions regarding it’s user rights.

    I am looking to create a blog for kids whilst they are away on a camp, but i want their blog posts to be readable their family. The familys would obviously need to be registered, and set up with specific user credentials.

    I wondered if it would be possible to have the family log in and then have them see the blogs that their child has posted?

  • If you don’t want each camper’s blog to be private to their family, you could assign a category to each camper (their name?) and show each category on a separate page.

    If you do want the blogs to be private, you might be able to use something like the Members plugin to create a Role for each family and restrict the category page to the corresponding role.
