Users shouldnt be able to write in Ctegorys/ Threads

is there a option to create Categorys or Threads which can be visited by everyone but only admins can write.

It would probably work with the close option, but i dont want to use it because there is a big lock.

If its only possible to do with the close option then tell me pls how to change the design of this lock to the standart Category/Thread Design.

In the admin-settings you can create/edit forums and set there status to closed. If this is the case for a forum only admins/mods can create new topics inside of those forums. But still anyone can answer. Otherwise you have to close them.

You can modify the icons via the CSS Yworld provided. ??
