Users with no admin ability?

  • I was wondering if having users with no admin ability is possible? Basically what I want is to use the ViewLevel Plugin so that I can have different security levels for different posts. Then depending on who I want to read what, I can give them the appropriate user level.

    From what I understand people who register on the site will have access to admin abilities depending on their user levels right? I’ve never used this feature with WordPress before so I’m not sure. If that is true, is there any way to get rid of that ability so that I’m the only one who can do any admin activities?

    Yep, that’s what User Level 0 is for.

    Hrm. If I wanted to use ViewLevel though, I’d have to set the users at different User Levels. But I would still want to not give them any admin ability. So Joe is at level 6, he can see level 6 posts but if I give him level 6 status he can do level 6 admin activities. Is there any way to turn those admin abilities off so Joe can have a user level at 6 but not have the admin access? Hopefully that makes sense…
