    If I use #_ICALLINK to add an event to my calendar on my phone should the item on my phone be updated if the event is edited in WordPress?

    That depends on your phone and calendar software: the ical link will always show the latest info, but your calendar needs to subscribe to it and periodically refresh it (that is sometimes an option in your calendar software).
