• Hello. Let me see if I can explain what I want to do.

Over at my blog, https://www.swollenthumb.com, I have a variety of categories, such as “articles” “original music” “original video” etc. For most of these categories, I’m fine with how WordPress queries them, giving me a list of links.

However, I’d like to do my “original video” category page differently.

    https://www.swollenthumb.com/category/originalvideo/

What I want to do is this. Instead of a excerpt and a thumbnail, I’d like to feature the video ON THE CATEGORY PAGE. So that while the user is browsing the list of videos, they can actually watch them, instead of clicking on each link in order to watch them.

I already know how to make an unique php file for the category name. I figured that I could use a custom field on the articles, and some coding on the category page to “feature” a video from each article.

Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks!
