    Hey Chris – the way Twenty Twenty Two is set up – it will use the same logo for all pages (as you mentioned). There’s not really a way to have a different one for separate sections.

    If you were interested – you could look into the newer Block Themes (like Twenty Twenty-Three or Twenty Twenty-Four) both of which would let you set up a separate template and header for a subsection like that.

    Hello again, Jordesign,

    Thank you so much for this information. I have updated to the 2024 theme per your suggestion.

    Hello again…so I updated to the 2024 theme, but am still unsure of how to change the site logo only on specific pages.

    It’s this particular page, and the submenu pages associated with it that I want to choose a different logo from the media library:

    Thank you so much for helping!

    @chriscaldwell11 @shovonbk for both of your cases – the trick is in having multiple header template parts, and then multiple page templates.

    You can do all of this in the Site Editor (Appearance > Editor).

    First of all if you go to your Template Parts and find your header – you can make a copy of your header template part in the same you can for other patterns. https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/site-editor-patterns/#theme-patterns

    Now you can edit the logo in each of those ‘Header’ template parts to be different.

    The next step is to create a new Page template (or copy the old one) and switch the Header template part to use the new one you created (with the new logo). Then you can assign that page template to all the pages you’d like to use the alternative logo on.

    Thank you, Jordesign,

    I have attempted to follow the instructions to no avail. I get to the point where I duplicate the header, then I rename the header (AZMidlife). I Replace the logo image, then when I click save, on the right, in the settings panel, it has :

    Are you ready to save?

    Select the items you want to save.

    This change will affect your whole site.

    And the box with Logo is checked.

    Then, my whole site displays the new logo before I can even assign this to a different page template.

    _____

    (Also, If I have another question, should I start a new thread? If so, I’ll delete this. It’s about highlighting a single menu item):

    I placed additional css and then set a class to highlighted-menu for the item “CSI Membership” in the menu, but nothing changed. I was trying to spotlight one item on the menu:

    .highlighted-menu {
    background: #FFB6C1;border-radius: 35px;
    padding: 0px 20px;
    line-height: 50px;
    }

    Hello again,

    I followed the steps above, but cannot get a different logo to appear on a specific page. Instead it changes the whole site. Thank you for helping.

    Man, nothing should be this hard to do. Ca’tn imagine it’s 2024 theme and something that would take 5 minutes to do in HTML/CSS becomes a days long challenge. Still no information on how to change a logo on a page. I’ve engaged an expert designer, and he even said it wasn’t possible. Why?

    Hi @chriscaldwell11 – I suspect what is happening here is that the ‘Site Logo’ block has a global value for the image being used.

    What I’d suggest to work around it is that in the second/alternative template you use a regular Image Block instead of the Site Logo block.

    Could you please try that out?

    Hello Jordesign,

    Well, i got it to work after several frustrating days! Thank you for continuing to help and for your suggested steps. They kept determined to figure it out.

    (FYI I also followed this tutorial, which was written for 2022, but actually worked well with 2024.)

    https://www.wpxpo.com/how-to-create-wordpress-page-template-in-the-twenty-twenty-two-theme/#:~:text=Step%201%3A%20Go%20to%20the%20Page%20and%20Create%20a%20Template,should%20see%20%27Default%20Template%27.

    My next problem: How i can highlight one item in the menu (Specifically CSI Membership)? I wanted to draw a border around it and maybe highlight it with color, too. I’ve tried entering custom CSS in the additonal css area at https://brewtifuladventures.com/wp-admin/customize.php and created a css class in Advanced section, but it doesn’t work.

    Thanks again,

    Chris

    Ps. I have posted the question about the highlighting of a menu item in the 2024 forum, since you had recommended I change to that theme.
