Using a Pre-existing Subdirectory Install

    I am trying to create a wordpress installation in a subdirectory of the current website. Then make that new one be the main site. I have followed the instructions located here

    I have done this before on a DreamHost account. Now I am doing it on a GoDaddy Account. The problem I having is that when I try to get to step 6 where I log back in and reset permalinks, I log in and get forwarded to the original site. Not the new one.

    Any suggestions?
