    Hi there,

I’m really impressed with FF in that I’m sooo close getting a search form working with a view of saved entries. Just one problem…

I have one form that serves as a data entry form. I created a view of the saved entries. I then created a search form to filter the content in the view and placed the search form above the view in FF.

Where I’m running into an issue is that several of the fields I’d like to search on are multi-select dropdown boxes. In the data entry form, these dropdowns can be multi-selectable. If I create Lookup dropdown fields in the search form based on the data entry values, and allow multi-selection in each field, when I search using more than 1 selection on any field, I get no results.

If I only select 1 option in the multi-select dropdown in the search, the results are correct. It’s just selecting more than 1 in the multi-select that shows no search results. I verified the test data should show that some entries should come back in this case.

Is multi-selection in one field considered an ‘AND’ condition on a search in FF?

Is there anything I should check for in my view or search form settings? If I can get this one thing working, I’d be through the moon, but don’t know if it’s a plugin limitation or if I am just not seeing where to allow this in the settings.

    Thanks for any thoughts!

    Hi there,

Unfortunately the academia hosting service we use carries the licenses for all WP plugins on their multi-site network (they control the plugins and we can’t add any on our own) and I don’t have access to it.

I tried using your link and after filling out the form fields regarding a Search topic, it doesn’t show a submit button:

    Before you open a ticket…
Have you seen our documentation about?creating a search form?”

    Am I out of luck?

Hi there, sorry to hear the submit button wasn’t working for you. Just to make sure I understand that issue, you are saying the “Open a ticket” button isn’t working for you? To get you connected with our support team, you can email directly at [email protected].

Hi, I tried again and it wants to redirect me here to the free forums again. I’m going to have our hosting company who owns the license submit a ticket on my behalf. If that doesn’t work, I’ll try [email protected]. Thanks…
