Using a theme but custom php/html/css in the body?

    Is there a way to keep the main frame of a theme but have a template that can upload your own coded php/html/css files so the work shows within a theme?

    If this makes sense, for example in place of say the main content and a sidebar?
    Or does it depend on each theme.
