Hello, I’m testing out and coordinating to see if will be able to use the Pro Plugin by running test with the free plugin for now.

I currently have WP on a web server and my DB on a separate server storing all the data to reduce load with remote connection. I’m testing with a Real Estate theme and the plugin add-on for properties.

Is it possible to set up this plugin on a separate webserver with WP installed ( a dummy site ), connect this server to my remote DB so that all the data shows up on my other server since they share the same remote DB? So it would be importing into my original server DB

I need to import massive amounts of data, properties etc and do not want to use all the resources for importing etc. It would be around 10K properties including image etc, ran daily for updates X 20 or 30 Sub-domains duplicated.

Just need to ensure I can scale before continuing to run test..

    Thank You

    Thanks

    Hi @roman77,

Theoretically, it would be possible to do that (connect the server to the remote DB and import there), but it most likely would not provide the performance boost you’re looking for since the DB is shared.

Give the amount and type of data you’re importing (properties usually have a lot of images and related data), and the frequency at which you’ll be importing it, I would suggest consulting with a professional sysadmin to help build out an environment that can handle it.
