Using both Mailchimp signup form AND evil pop up

I have a Mailchimp email subscription signup form on my site. I’ve tried adding their ‘Evil pop-up’ form as well, but the code for this conflicts with the regular sign up form.

The result is that the email box on the regular form doesn’t display and the pop up doesn’t display correctly either. I’ve used their online chat assistance and was told that you can’t use both options at the same time due to javascript, so you can have either a regular form OR use the pop up, but not both.

They advised that the only way to solve this is to create iframes, but that you’re on your own with this as they can’t help you do this.

I’m sure I’m not the only person who’s tried having both a regular Mailchimp email subscription form and a pop up to collect subscribers, so how did you go about doing it?
