Using Category Menu vs Posts Page setting

  • In WordPress settings, under reading, there’s an option to select a “Posts page.” However, I have 400 posts under 8 different categories. I created individual pages for each category. So the posts are not all in one spot. Do I leave this setting alone, or do I need to create a single blog post page for it?

  • If you want to show all your posts on a single page, you can create that “Posts Page”.

    And if you like it to be categorized properly, and do not want to show any irrelevant post to your visitor, leave that setting alone.

    However, I see that you already have an “all-blog-posts” page where all the posts are already listed. You might have already activated this setting. (If not, then there is no point in doing it again as you already have a page for that.)
