After the most recent WP update, my website’s sliders were all deleted, and the menu is appearing even on full-sized screens as the three little lines for a mobile device. The images and content were all still there, but I am having to recreate the sliders from scratch.

I can’t seem to get the menu to appear across the top the way it used to.

I DO use a child theme, and I’ve never had this problem before.

    The website is Ben-Hur.com

    Any suggestions?

Argh. Found the new menu settings finally, so that part is fixed. But WHY did all my sliders disappear?

    Hi,

    I can see your slider.
    Please see screenshot. https://i.imgur.com/8fqk1AO.jpg

Please clear your WP Super Cache Plugin’s cache content, so as to allow the updated content to show on your home page.

You should clear your cache after a theme update.

    Thank you

Hi, Denzel – You can see my slider because I recreated it from scratch. It wasn’t that the updated content wasn’t showing. I did clear the cache. It was simply that all the sliders were deleted. The only slider left in my installation was the demo slider. I had to rebuild them all from scratch.

    Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. This is strange.

I have updated WordPress many times and has never encounter this issue before. A WordPress update does not delete any database entries.

I will keep a lookout for this strange issue.

    Thank you.
