• Have I read it correctly that you can only set up a credit card in Woocommerce if you use Paypal? We are a small non-profit and do not have a Paypal account (and do not want to get one). I can’t find anywhere I can enable credit card payments so that they are processed at the organisation’s bank (which has code to help set this up).

Credit Card numbers aren’t store in WooCommerce – this is a security risk. Credit card numbers can only be saved / processed with a payment gateway provider that is PCI compliant.

Practically this means that your organisation’s bank would need to ensure they have a WooCommerce payment gateway plugin that will allow the user to be redirected to the Bank’s site for payment, and then return the customer to your site for order confirmation.

Alternatively, you could just use the BACS payment gateway that’s bundled with WooCommerce – this will give the customer your banking details in order to transfer money manually.

I apologise for not being more specific. I do realise that credit cards aren’t stored in WooCommerce but there is no option in WooCommerce for a credit card to be selected as a payment option which then redirects to the bank itself. I am in Australia and I know that WooCommerce has paid plugins for some banks here but I wanted to know how to select that as an option in the settings, just a you can with direct deposit, cash etc, and then be taken to the bank gateway site.
