    Hey Tobias,

Great plugin – very easy to setup and use.

I have a question regarding the filters. I installed the filterWidget however i don’t want to use the filters as a drop-down menu but rather have 5 buttons for every individual field entry and by clicking the respective button, the user can filter the table to show only those entries specified by the button. Basically, filtering the table by clicking a button and not by selecting a drop-down menu entry.

Example: using such a button to perform filtering (https://demos.cyberchimps.com/responsivepro/css-buttons-colors/“>)

    How can that be implemented?

    Thanks a lot!

    Cheers,
    Andrey

    Hi Andrey,

    thanks for your question!

Unfortunately, I don’t have a readily usable solution to this. You’ll need to look into developing a custom script, that will most likely be similar to the ColumnFilterWidgets script. In that, you’ll need to add those buttons to the page and then use the DataTables API functions (see https://www.datatables.net ) to achieve the filtering.

    Regards,
    Tobias
