I’m very intrigued about using custom fields in titles and descriptions. But I’m curious if there is any way to get WP Types Toolset fields to work? Or do Advanced Custom Fields work? Or is it just the native custom fields defined on the post edit page? I can’t get my WP Types fields to work in the titles, so I am assuming they don’t work. But I want to be sure I’m not doing something wrong.

Are there any plans to support Toolset or ACF, if they aren’t already? If so, that would be amazing! Thanks.

    Hi,
ACF saves its data like any other custom fields, so it should work.
I don’t know about Toolset (never used).

Thanks Benjamin. Good to hear for ACF. I do have the pro version of it, but have several clients that use Toolset WP Types.

I don’t know how WP Types saves it’s custom fields. I do know that they end up with a slug and they have a meta key that looks like wpcf-meta-key and you can even trigger a field using a shortcode. But none seem to work with SEOPress, so maybe they do it differently?

I’ll have to investigate further. Is it possible to allow shortcodes in the titles, or are there limitations that prevent that? Because I know most custom field plugins also allow shortcode triggers.

Regardless, great plugin and I’m considering upgrading, but am just testing out this version for a bit, and love it so far!
