• Hello everyone, I just started learning WordPress. I do not have money to pay for a hosting page like bluehost and the likes so I am learning with desktop server. I ran into an issue earlier this day and I am hoping I will get few advice on how to get past this issue. Thanks in advance.

So, I first used desktop server to download WordPress 5.3, I was able to create some sites and I checked out the interface. I then updated my WordPress and I got the 5.7.2 version. There’s a tutorial video I am following, I was told to download some plugins and baseline theme. I downloaded these plugins and baseline theme. I did accordingly as instructed but when I wanted to create a website, the website didn’t create. I don’t know what to do.

  • Your support request is far too broad to provide detailed feedback.

However, you can use the file manage in Windows/Mac to navigate to the folder of where you have installed WordPress. You can then go into these folders and delete whatever it is you download:
    /desktop-server-site/wp-content/themes/
    and
    /desktop-server-site/wp-content/plugins/

Thank you very much @corrinarusso. I figured that my request was too long but I couldn’t think of how to shorten my message and also communicate well the issues I had. I will follow your advice and delete those plugins and theme.
