That’s because the plugin comes with no CSS allowing you to match it up with your theme without over-riding / dequeueing our styles.

To the per_row parameter will change where the first and last classes are in your markup. You’ll then need to add the column styling yourself. Should be easy enough with a couple of lines of CSS.

That is correct, yes.

You’d place this CSS either in your child theme’s style.css file (recommended) or in your parent theme’s style.css file. ??
