Using dw_instance_visibility hook

Hi,
I saw that a hook has been added (dw_instance_visibility), but I don’t know how to use it. I mean, how to add a checkbox for a customized option of displaying ? I guessed it’s its use but there isn’t a real documentation about it..
Any help is welcome !
