    Hi there,

I was just wondering if it is possible to deactivate FancyBox across the whole site save for a single image?

The issue is that I love the way Easy FancyBox opens and displays videos, but that’s all I want FancyBox to do. There are other videos on my site that I wish to remain as they are, and there are other images on my site that I’d rather the same, but then there’s this single video that I want to be displayed the way Easy FancyBox does it

Please let me know if this is something that can be done

    Thank you very much

  • Yes you can do this:
    1. Deactivate all options that you do not need on Settings > Media under FancyBox > Enable FancyBox for… It sounds like you only need the Youtube option.
    2. Disable all the Autodetect options (for Youtube there are two)
    3. Give the media links that you do want to display in FancyBox the appropriate class attribute. You can do this by editing your pages/posts in the HTML view tab. For youtube that is class="fancybox-youtube".

    Hi RavanH,

    Thanks for your response,

Something I may have neglected to mention is that my video is displayed on my site as an image, then once you click the image, it takes you to the video. My intentions are for the video to display in a FancyBox when the image is clicked.

    Is this possible?

FancyBox attaches itself to media LINKS. How that link is displayed – as regular text link or an image – does not matter. You will only need the Youtube feature and then add class=”fancybox-youtube” to that link tag, not the image tag!

Ahh that’s where the issue lies.

I was adding the class to the image tag

Thanks very much for your help ??
