I run a website for a non-profit professional association with about 200 members. The website is primarily used to notify members about upcoming lectures. I’m considering implementing MembershipWorks to bring our member management online (for becoming members and renewals, no member-specific content) and to facilitate event registration.
I have two things that I need the package to do to make it work in our situation:
    1. Have the event listing include a short summary of the topic to be presented (typically the first paragraph of the full listing).
    2. Have the event listings appear automatically as blog posts on the home page and with some level of controlled sorting (by event date, not post date and sorted by next event, upcoming events, and then past events).
Can this be done with this MembershipWorks package?

    Hi kfroese!

    1. At this time it is not possible to include a short summary in the event list or event widget.

    2. Events in our system are not psots in WordPress, but you can use the Upcoming Events widget (using the widget directly, or using a shortcode) on the home page to display a specific number of upcoming events, sorted by event date. However it is not possible to display past events directly.
