Using excerpt on blog page, no home page

    I’m using the New Balance of Blue Theme 1.5. I am using my About page as my home page and I created a blog page for posts. I would like to use the excerpt tag on the blog page, but when I post the code into the page.php file it changes the home page, not the blog. How can I change just the blog page to use the excerpt?

    My website is clrtranscriptionservice.com.

    I have searched on excerpt and blog page excerpt and cannot find anything to fit this question.

  • To change the post page, you should paste your code in index.php. It doesn’t matter that is not the home page, don’t worry. Just replace the_content() with the_excerpt().

    Thank you! I was changing the page.php and not the index.php. It’s all working now!
