Using firezilla as my CDN with W3 Total Cache
-
Hello,
I’m new to wordpress and blogging in general so apologies in advance if I ask any obvious questions or seem completely lost. I’ve recently graduated from university and am looking to set up a website to get some articles online etc. I have paid for the domain https://www.youknowthescore.net and am hosting via hostgator. I’m primarily having trouble setting up my CDN, using Filezilla as the FTP. While I appear to have set up the FTP settings and local host directory correctly, I do not know what to list as the remote site. Presently, only a ‘/’ directory is displayed when I connect and this does not contain the wordpress files (I assume it must for uploading to work correctly?). I also have a few other issues, which I assume are connected to this:
1. Make sure to export the media library and upload the wp-includes, theme files and custom files to the CDN to ensure proper operation.
I’ve been looking at the forums and they mention sub domains, however once again I don’t understand how to include these or how they are important! If I’ve missed any information which could be useful please let me know.
Thanks for any support/advice,
Alex
