• Hi Guys,
I wonder if anyone knows whether it is possible to get Flock working with a standalone version of WordPress? I’ve just tried it with my hosted account at WordPress.com and its great! I would really like to get this working on our standalone site, but not sure how..
    Many thanks!
    Chris

  • Flock works with my standalone WP 2.0 install. Obviously it’s a more limited interface, but I just walked through the config and successfully composed a draft which was sent to my site. What didn’t work for you?

It takes a long time for my hosted standalone to appear.

Also, there is no choice for WordPress, so I assume that the Movable Type setting is the proper one?

I gave up after waiting five hours. The hosted standalone is WP 2.0.1.

I was able to configure Flock to work with my blog on wordpress.com, which, I believe, still uses WP 1.5, so it could be a version problem.

I got past the bug by being dumber. I added the file name to the url, Flock told me that was wrong, but then let me manually specify everything, to include the location of xmlrpc.php. And, it works.

Much more limited than the standard WP interface.
