Using Gifs

    I currently have a jpg linked to my comment page.

    I just recently animated the jpg and turned it into a gif, uploaded it to the same folder the jpg was in, then changed the extension in the code from .jpg to .gif. When i updated the file and went to my page..they were all red x’s.

    Is there a special thing that needs to happen to make gifs work on the page, or am I doing something wrong?

    Did your page reload correctly? Maybe it took the version from cache, that’s what happens to me a lot. I always check the loaded source code to make sure.Try force-reloading using shift-ctrl-reload.

    So your image is image.gif right? I ask because you said you animated the jpg, and that is not possible. Also, right click on the image to see its address. The red X means it’s not where it’s supposed to be or it simply can’t see it.

    I meant I made a jpg I had into an animated gif…however, i did the refresh thing and its still a red x…

    I went to the properties, and it is the correct file..

    Fixed IT! I put the pic in a totally different folder and redid the link.

    If you mean the comment.gif, they look fine by me, no missing image link.
