• How can I hide my exact email address from spammers yet allow legitimate subscribers to contact me privately? I think that the appropriate code will go in my Pages menu for Contact. I have a special file for this function on my basic website, but I’m not sure how to set it up in my blog. My blog is in a sub-directory of my site. I will need some step-by-step instructions for doing this. I haven’t seen this covered in the latest posts to this Forum. Thanks for any help that anyone can give me for doing this.

I’m glad to use an appropriate contact form. I’ve quickly examined the information in the enclosed links. I’m not sure if either of these programs can enable me to create and install a contact form on the basic template or Page menu of my blog. I don’t want to have to put a separate contact form on every post page. I want subscribers to be able to contact me from any page that they are viewing in my blog. What program or plug-in will enable me to provide this feature in my blog? Thanks for your response. I’m just getting started in the set up of various features in my blog, so I have a lot to learn.

Both of those plugins will allow you to set up a single Contact page. You could then amend your theme’s template files to provide a link to this new page if your navigation menu doesn’t show the link automatically.

    Hi esmi,
I’ll examine the instructions regarding both of these plugins to see exactly what they offer. Maybe a link to the Contact Form in my template files would be just as effective as having a link to the Form in the navigation menu. I’m not sure if there would be any practical difference in their function. What do you think? I assume that in any case the Contact Form is going to have to be accessed from a link that is available to my subscribers. I just have to figure out where to put the appropriate link and how to fit it into the selected file’s set of codes.

I want to get this set up before I display my blog on my site. Contact with my subscribers is a basic goal of my blog, so I want this function to be correctly set up from the start. I don’t want to have to go into my blog and clean up a lot of spam or other problems that could be quickly generated if this function isn’t effectively set up from the start. I’m sure that you understand my concern. Thanks for your help with this. Any further details that you can give me regarding the set up that I seek will be appreciated. Thanks.

Depending on your theme/design, a link to a Contact page in the navigation menu may have a slightly higher profile. Visitors have a habit of “missing” links in the post content.

Thanks for this commentary. I’ll plan on put a link to the Contact Page in the navigation menu. Now I just have to figure out exactly how to do all of the necessary steps to implement this feature into my blog.
