Using Hybrid Theme and CSS Questions!

Hello everyone :),

I have a question, which I feel I should know, but don’t. I can’t find the answer on the internet.

Recently I updated WordPress to the newest version. I also had several themes that needed updating.

Two themes, Semicolon and the Hybrid framework, seem to no longer respond to CSS changes. Which is odd. I only recently have started to learn CSS and HTML (fair enough), and I’d love to learn how to build my own WordPress themes from scratch, but somehow I can’t figure this one out. I know the order of the CSS rules is important, or where to check what a certain element is called, but the CSS just isn’t working. Including basic CSS adjustments to ‘a’ elements, or specific divs…!

I am curious, especially in regard to the Hybrid framework, which is a framework after all (I should master it), why the CSS structure seems to have changed for some themes? When I adjusted the Semicolon theme it worked fine at first, now, not so much.

Meanwhile I’ll keep messing around :), am having a great time. Still, I could use some advice!

I know the answer could also be I just haven’t looked carefully enough and my CSS isn’t that good (yet).
