Using IE9 but wordpress says im using IE7

  • Im shifitng between four different browsers when i design wordpress sites, just to make sure they all look and act the same.

    My site looks really weird i Internet Explorer. When I log on to my site in IE I get the following message on the dashboard:

    “Your browser is not safe!
    It looks like you are using an unsafe version of Internet Explorer. Using an old browser version is unsafe for your computer. To get the best experience out of WordPress you’ll have to upgrade your browser.”

    (I’ve translated from Norwegian so there is no guarantee its the exact message, but you’ll get the idea)

    And from the theme I have installed (Pagelines) i get this:

    “You are using Internet Explorer version: 7
    Advanced options don’t support Internet Explorer version 7 or lower. Please switch to a standards based browser that will allow you to easily configure your site (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Safari, even IE8 or better would work)”.

    I know for sure I have IE9 installed. The site acts all normal in both Opeara, Firefox and Chrome.
