• Hi,
I have recently been trying to embed instagram photos on a blog post using the embed button on instagram which gives the required code.

The problem I am having is that the photo does not render correctly. The space for the photo is reserved, but it does actually appear.

I have been googling all day and understand that it is something to do with the iframe tags in the code. Some say wordpress doesn’t allow them. Is there a work around for this? or any way in which wordpress cn accept this code and render the photos correctly.

The code is question is like this:

    <iframe src="//instagram.com/p/jCDwaDnAID/embed/" width="612" height="710" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>

    Many thansk for any help

Can you try switching to the Twenty Thirteen theme and deactivating all plugins to explore whether any could be responsible?

OK, thanks for the tip. I’m out of the house right now on my phone, but I’ll try that in a few hours when I get access.

So wordpress doesn’t have an issue per say with iframe tags? and it’s possibly my theme or a plugin?

    Thanks

I’ve not known WordPress to limit the use of iFrames, or HTML in general.

Hi again Andrew. I reverted back to the 2013 theme, and wordpress immediately rendered the instagram photo correctly with the same code, even without disabling plugins.

I’m using the photocrati theme. I’ll contact them to see what the real problem is.

    Thanks again for your help.
