    Hi,

I’d like to use Klarna, but there are some things I don’t quite understand.
After activating Klarna as a payment method in my Stripe account, should I choose to use Klarna via “Local Gateway” or via “Universal Payment Method” ?
Because it appears in both tabs.

    What’s the difference?

It doesn’t make sense to use Klarna to make a cash payment. Is it possible not to display this proposal when the Klarna window opens?

Thank you very much for your explanations and advice.

    Best regards

    Hi @joy0114

    What’s the difference?

Here is a the note that appears below the Universal Payment Method (UPM) page for your convenience.

Stripe payment method that lets you combine all payment methods into a single integration. The Universal Payment Method (UPM) allows you to combine all payment methods into a single integration. On your checkout page, the UPM will show all of the enabled payment methods that are eligible.

The purpose of the UPM is to combine payment methods so your checkout page doesn’t become overwhelming to the customer when you offer many payment methods. So to answer your question on whether you should use the UPM, that depends on how many payment methods you currently offer. Another benefit of the UPM is it uses Stripe’s internal logic to show payment methods that have the most popularity in your customer’s region.

If you have 4 or more then I would suggest displaying at least several of them in the UPM.

    Kind Regards
