    Dear MailPoet user,

I would like to send regular reminders (for a meeting) to my subscribers. These reminders should be a simple text emails – ones a month automatically the same email. My idea was to use the “Latest Post Notifications” function in MailPoet for this issue. The tricky thing is that my emails should not contain post notifications. I learned that I have to integrate at least one “Automatic Latest Content Widget” into these emails – otherwise they are not spread by MailPoet. I moved a portfolio post into this widget since I’m not using the portfolio function in WP. I also had to create an empty portfolio post in WP to convince MailPoet to send out my emails. Finally it worked: the email was sent and contained only the simple text (the empty “Automatic Latest Content Widget” was not visible).

But… now I realized that my emails are only send in case there is a new portfolio post published since the last email was sent. Since I’m not using the portfolio function this won’t be the case. Thus, MailPoet is sending my email once an then it stops to send the email.

Does anybody know how I can set MailPoet in a way, that it sends out “Latest Post Notifications” emails as well when there isn’t new content? Or is there another way to use the MailPoet “Latest Post Notifications” function to send out automated regular emails without any other content than a regular text?

    Thanks an best from Germany

    Fred

Seems like nobody here can help me. Is there another way to get support as a non-paying user? Thx!

    Hi there @frederikfranke,

    Thanks for reaching out!

In your case, I’d recommend creating a series of similar newsletters and schedule them accordingly: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/344-create-a-standard-newsletter

Only Post Notification emails can be sent recurringly, but they should include Automatic Latest Content Widget and won’t get send if no new content is published.

You’re welcome to add it as a suggestion here?https://feedback.mailpoet.com
Our team will take it into account when discussing new features and improvements for the plugin ??

    Thank you!

Thx Elvira for this perfect answer!

I’m using this alternative already but of course it is not that comfortable as the function I was looking for. I just posted my idea as you suggested. Maybe I have luck and one of the future versions of MailPoet will include this function.

    Have a nice day!

    Fred
