We’re extending a theme, linked above, and it has and uses the Meta Box plugin. We’d like to create a Gutenberg Block, but when we do, it shows up as a regular meta box.

Does this mean the theme does not have the MB Blocks addon? Can we test that any other way? If that’s the case, can we purchase and install it without conflicting with the theme? If it’s not that, what details do you need to help me debug and find the issue?

    Thanks!

    Hi @andrewteg,

Does this mean the theme does not have the MB Blocks addon?

Probably. We don’t own the theme, so we don’t know which extensions the theme include. A simple way to know that is asking the theme author for which Meta Box extensions do they include in their theme.

Can we test that any other way?

We have 14-days refund policy, so you can buy the plugin on our site and try it.

If that’s the case, can we purchase and install it without conflicting with the theme? If it’s not that, what details do you need to help me debug and find the issue?

In most cases, MB Blocks doesn’t conflict with any theme or plugins. At least, we haven’t seen one. If you see any problem, please open a support ticket or contact us.

Thanks. I purchased it to try and it installed great and became a Block option as expected. I’ll post any MB Block questions we have in that support channel.
