Right now I have it set for Posts with the tag “slider” to feed the slider. But I have a custom post type that I’d like to be able to give that same tag to and show up in the slider. When I click the dropdown menu under “Type of Content” in the Responsive Slider settings, I see my custom post type in there, but obviously I cannot select both Posts AND my custom post type.

Is there a way to alter the plugin code to change that from a dropdown menu to checkboxes so multiple Content Types can be used?

Or is there any other solution?

You’ll have to use a different slider.

Thanks Ron. Yeah, that’s always an option. Regardless, I tried experimenting by editing admin.php and messing around with <input type="checkbox"> and so forth on line 206ish. I got the different post types to show up as list items with checkboxes so I could select multiple types. However even though it said “settings saved”, the checkboxes didn’t remain checked after saving. And it didn’t reflect on the front end either. I’m no guru, but maybe it’s a database thing.

I reverted to “factory settings” but I’m at least proud of myself for getting the list to show up. I know it’s not recommended practice even if I did get it to work because plugin updates would wipe out my changes. C’est la vie. I’ll go hunting for a different plugin.

    Cheers.
