Using OG tags to embed articles and external sources

    I am wondering/trying to use EmbedPress (as it is the best Embed plugin out there) to embed external sources (articles, blogpost, sharable content etc.) – and would have expected sources to be able to be embedded like if had posted it on Facebook (by using the OG tags attached). But I see no such option – only the option to embed the entire webpage – which is not what I want.
    I am missing something – or is this simple yet extremely powerful way to associate sharable content online not contained in the EmbedPress plugin?

    Greetings.

    Unfortunately, we don’t have that option right now. However, what you can do is, you can post it on facebook and set the privacy as public. After that, you can easily embed the content. Please check this video: https://d.pr/v/DJRD3b

    Thank you for your answer. Out of curiosity; why is this not an option yet – do you see technical challenges or other challenges? I mean OG tag sharing is probably one of the world’s most used ways to share, given that it is a META standard. But could be that I am not seeing some challenges associated with using OG tags to “pull in” a sharable piece of content?
    EmbedPress would instantly go from 150+ sources to “all sources” ??

    Anyway – I hope support to this will come in a near future <3
