• What is the best practice when using one product for two different categories?

I find it confusing when I am on product page and there are different breadcrumb path I have gone to it. For instance “battery” can be spare part for “flashlight” and “radio”. When client is at this battery page, breadcrumb would show only one category it’s under.

How would you handle this? Dublicate these products? Considering SKU can only be used once, I think this would not be the best option.

Question to Woocommerce plugin authors. I thought I found good compromise for ^ this confusion but found out something even more confusing regarding product categories and breadcrumbs.

I have created product category “AAA” and assigned product for it “MILK”. This particular product is also assigned to other category and sub-category, like “BBB” -> “CCC”

Why wordpress/woocommerce chooses longest path breadcrumb to show for this product “MILK”?
Logically I would think breadcrumb for this product would be “HOME” >> “AAA” >> “MILK” but instead it’s “HOME” >> “BBB” >> “CCC” >> “MILK”

From my point of view there’s nothing logical about it. It’s not even in any alphabetical order. It’s just the longest path which does not make any sense. Does it?
