Using only LSCache in an Apache server

    I have just installed openlitespeed module in a CentOS 7 VPS server and would like to enable only its LSCache (since my WordPress installation is on Apache).

    Searching for tutorials on the internet, I can only find instructions for configuring Openlitespeed as a full replacement to Apache server, whereas I simply want to install Litespeed WordPress plugin as an additional performance optimization feature (LSCache).

    Can you give any instructions (or share a link to tutorial) on what I would have to configure on openlitespeed module in order to enable LSCache (so that I can use LiteSpeed plugin for WordPress)?

    UPDATE: After some additional search, I found information that in this case (using only LSCache, for an Apache server) I should configure Openlitespeed as a reverse proxy (https://openlitespeed.org/kb/reverse-proxy-basics/).

    But the link I found from your Github documentation of LiteSpeed WordPress plugin (this one: https://openlitespeed.org/kb/how-to-setup-lscache-for-wordpress/) states as one of the four “pre-installation requirements”, to set up a listener (as if the user really needs to use Openlitespeed as full replacement for Apache).

    So I am really confused: should I configure OLS as reverse proxy? If not, how do i enable LSCache for Apache?

    Hi,

    the cache function of plugin will NOT work on Apache , unless you have reverse proxy over OLS , or using QUIC cloud CDN

    but other function like image optimization and page optimization will work normally
