Using only shop page with custom home page

  • I downloaded the Virtue theme because I loved the shop page layout, and wanted to use it. But in my website I need to have my own design (home page, header, footer, stylesheet etc). I’m new to WordPress, and I can’t really find any guide to doing this sort of thing. Can anyone help me out? Video tutorials are welcome.

  • Can you possible go into a bit more detail on what you’re trying to accomplish? Are you wanting to use a custom page template? Or do you just want to change some styling of your pages?

    I’ve already made a home page with html/css/bootstrap, and I want to place it in the my website with the Virtue theme installed. Problem is that I don’t know how to place a custom front page, and still keep the design in the shop page.

    Hey,
    This isn’t really an option. Merging a html and wordpress site isn’t something I would recommend. You can customize the home page in wordpress but loading something separate you would be best to place the wordpress section of your site in a subdomain. Then link to it from your html site.
