Using Page Password cookies

It’s a combination of ‘wp-postpass_’ and a hash created through the wp_setcookie() function. You may want to look over how it goes about it (in 1.5.1.2 and above, it’s in pluggable-functions.php, under the wp-includes/ directory).

wp_setcookie in pluggable-functions does not use wp-postpass_ prefix anywhere.

The cookie itself is set through a line in wp-pass.php, but it uses the setcookie() function.
