using plugin with block based theme

    Hi,

    I am playing around with the plugin on the block based theme, but blocks are not recognized. It still works in the pages, but when I want to use generateblocks in site editor (to create template) it doesn’t work. What am I missing here? Do I need to register generateblocks in order to use them in site editor?

    Hi there,

    Just to confirm, is this using full site editing?

    If so, it’s likely that blocks need to specifically declare support. As things become more stable and closer to actual release, we will absolutely make sure that our blocks are compatible.

    yes, it’s about full site editing. I plan to use generateblocks for creating templates, since core blocks are still much limited when it comes to customization.

    Sorry, I was jumping little ahead of time with this. I am sure they will work fine when full site editing comes. ??

    No problem! We will definitely be integrating it as soon as things are more stable.

    Also, not sure what theme you’re using, but our GeneratePress Premium theme (beta version) allows you to use GenerateBlocks to build your content templates: https://generatepress.com/introducing-the-gp-theme-builder/
