Using Polylang is not having impact

  • Hi,

    I′ve installed this plugin on my woocommece website and set it up in order to have a portuguese localized. However, on Google Search Console there′s still the warning saying “Your site has no hreflang tags.”, as you can see here.

    Hi,

    I did not see any language switcher on your site. You must translate yoru page as described in the doc, https://polylang.pro/doc/translating-pages-posts-categories-and-tags/, then hreflang attributes will be automatically generated. Note that it takes time to Google to crawl your site.

    The thing is , I dont need to translate nothing. I just want to set the hreflang to pt_PT, for SEO purposes.

    As you see here, the main language is already Portuguese.

    If you don’t need a multilingual site, then you don’t need Polylang and you don’t have to care about hreflang. The hreflang attribute is for multilingual sites only. If you attempt to output hreflang on a single language site, the Google console will send you errors.
