    Hey

I want to use Polylang to translate my courses into multiple languages.
But unfortunately it seam’s like TutorLMS is not compatible with Polylang.

I can not select a language for existing or newly created courses. Also if I’m on the course overview page and I want to switch languages, it always switches to the default language.

Is there any chance that TutorLMS will add Support for Polylang? Or is there another Plugin out there with the same Features which is also free?

    Hello @hutch79,

You can use WPML check this link https://docs.themeum.com/tutor-lms/addons/wpml/

You can also use loco translator here also the link of the loco translator

    Hey @jobayertuser

    Thanks for your answer.

As far as I know, WPML has no free version of their Plugin.
Maybe I just haven’t found it. If so, I would be really thankful if you could send me a link.

But if there is no free version, it’s unfortunately no option for me.

Loco translate is not the plugin I search for. If I haven’t understood the functionality wrong, loco can only translate plugins and themes, not content like pages or courses.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t wrong about my thoughts of loco.

Here is their FAQ answer about content translating:

Translating content stored in the database is not what this plugin is for.

The text in your blog posts, pages, taxonomies – and even site settings – is all held in the database. This plugin cannot translate content in the database. Either use a different plugin designed for translating database content, […]

    Hello @hutch79,

Currently, we have only this plugin integrated and compatibility that’s why I can’t suggest you any other plugin.

    Hey @jobayertuser
    Thanks for you‘re answer.

Is there a chance that Polylang will be added soon?

Otherwise i need to let my creativity play or search another LMS Plugin, which wouldn‘t be my fist choise, because Tutor is really nice also in the free version!

    Hello @hutch79,

Unfortunately, I am very sorry to say but very recently we don’t have any plan we so many feature requests from our users and also we have our own our developer is trying very hard to release them so it will take time to integrate polylang.

    (@hutch79)

    Hey @jobayertuser

    Sad to hear that.

I think it would be fairly easy to integrate. Other Plugins have integrated it by accident and unknowingly because Polylang seams to grab into nearly anything.

But I also understand that there are other features waiting on your list.

Maybe give it a quick look?

    Nevertheless, thanks for your support!

    Hi @hutch79

I am just another user and also have WooCommerce and Polylang. For what I know, Polylang has a WPML compatibility. So if WPML is supported, then Polylang should be also.

    https://polylang.pro/doc/the-wpml-config-xml-file/

    https://polylang.pro/doc/wpml-api/

I also think that Polylang is superior to WPML, so strange it is not supported. Especially, it does not seem like a lot of work (maybe! – from my understanding)

Thank you for your answer @gerdneumann

That explains why Plugins, where I haven’t found a word about Polylang but about WPML are, translatable with Polylang.

    Unfortunately, TutorLMS Free isn’t.

Could it be that the Free version is missing the WPML api integration @jobayertuser ?
    Unfortunately, I haven’t found anything on https://www.themeum.com/tutor-lms/free-vs-pro/

    Hello @hutch79,

Unfortunately, the multiple language options are only available in the pro version.

Just wanted to add, that the Polylang developers are very supportive: Very often when I had used a plugin that was not supported out-of-the-box, I notified them via https://polylang.pro/ contact form that I used a certain plugin, and then *they* send in a Pull Request or Patch to this plugin to it got Polylang support.

    (@hutch79)

    Thanks for the tip.

II think a Pull Request would not help here.

TutorLMS has the Feature, but only in the Pro version.
And I’m not Willing to Pay over 100$ a Year for a ?Just for Fun“ project especially because I‘m still in my Apprenticeship.

Sad that this feature is just in the Pro version.
Maybe I find another Plugin how has support, but until now, TutorLMS was the best I could find.
